ISC West Preview: NAPCO Underscores Unified Brands in Booth Presence

AMITYVILLE, N.Y. — NAPCO Security Technologies has been very busy lately, and we haven’t even gotten to the annual ISC West show in Las Vegas, where the company will highlight numerous innovations in booth #12031 at the Venetian Expo, March 28-31, 2023.

After the company recently expanded its technical support department, joined the PASS (Partner Alliance for Safer Schools) K-12 program and continued posting record quarters, NAPCO’s Peter Lowenstein, vice president of sales for the Alarm Lock division, joined SSI to chat about its upcoming ISC West presence.

“I think what you’re going to find is that it won’t necessarily be a specific product that we’re showcasing so much as it is a suite of products,” notes Lowenstein, “which ties into our entire corporate push now – to make sure people are very aware that NAPCO is not just one particular brand. That we are a suite of brands that represent the entire security continuum.”

Lowenstein explains that encompasses the brands working harmoniously together to make security dealers and their customers comfortable “from the curb all the way to your server room, including the software that runs the entire program.”

Attendees who visit NAPCO’s ISC West booth can expect to find something a bit different this year, Lowenstein adds. Rather than have it flow by one brand’s solutions in a particular space, and a good/better/best nature to NAPCO’s brands and products, the booth will feature sections in “our coordinated effort” to illustrate multiple technologies from various companies, he says.

“You’re going to have a lot of displays that incorporate all the technologies in that complete system that I discussed,” Lowenstein says. “Obviously, we have a couple of technologies that incorporate a little bit from each of the brands – one in particular is our AirAccess unit, which has been out for a couple of years now.”

He says that one’s exciting because it was NAPCO’s first product that really incorporated all of the brands. That includes the lock from Alarm Lock, mechanical locking piece from Marks, it runs essentially off Continental Access CA4K software, plus the StarLink radio it ties to, Lowenstein explains.

“So really, again, the coordination of all the brands into one unified package that makes sense for the user,” he adds.
