Vaclav Havel Airport Prague Installs Qognify EIM

PRAGUE, Czech Republic ― Integrating the Qognify EIM (enterprise incident management) solution into its security system, the Vaclav Havel Airport has bolstered its security capabilities under a single interface.

The integration of the new enterprise incident management solution in addition to providing security personnel with a single, unified interface also provides airport security the ability to to verify identification cards using mobile devices throughout the airport.

Qognify explains the Prague Airport, a. s. is a company that operates Václav Havel Airport Prague in the Czech Republic. The fast growing airport the company continues, handles over 15 million passengers with direct flights to more than 160 destinations worldwide.

Within the airport approximately 2,400 people are employed with an estimated additional 14,000 people working for companies operating at the airport or linked to various operations.

In order to speed up its incident response times and to improve safety the airport added the Qognify EIM solution that has been successfully used in other airports across the globe. Through the use of the Qognify EIM, airport safety and security systems including CCTV, electronic access control, electrical fire alarm, emergency alarm system, perimeter security, oversized cargo entry control, errand system and airport mapping are now integrated under a single interface.

Using the enterprise incident management to unify all of these security subsystems security professionals can respond quickly when an alarm is triggered from any of the interconnected systems. On the interface in the security room alerts are said to be clearly displayed on an onscreen map.

Based on the information unified interface provides, security professionals can take appropriate action and guidance is provided through an onscreen checklist to help ensure the proper required actions and best practices and procedures are used for dealing with an event.

Additionally, the Qognify EIM can also be used by security personnel as a mobile solution via smart devices, including smart phones. The mobile version supports the ability to verify the validity of identification cards of airport employees, and it can be used for assigning tasks and sending support materials.
