Surveillance Secure Looks to Expand Franchise Locations

FREDERICK, Md. — Surveillance Secure, a security integrator and franchiser that consults, designs, installs and supports a full range of enterprise grade technology for commercial clients, is gearing up for expansion in 2022.

The brand will kick-off the year by moving its headquarters to Frederick, Md., which will facilitate training, distribution and customer service. Surveillance Secure will focus its expansion plans in the Eastern region including Massachusetts, New York, Tennessee, Georgia, Florida, North Carolina and South Carolina, according to an announcement.

“Security needs and trends are constantly changing, so we are looking forward to continue innovating ways on how to improve our services and reach more markets,” says Kim Hartman, CEO and founder of Surveillance Secure. “The demand for our offerings is growing as we settle into the new normal, so we are eager to keep expanding and provide more businesses with the surveillance solutions that best fit their needs.”

As companies across the country permanently adopt hybrid work, Surveillance Secure is expanding its services related to video analytics and Cloud-based applications to help make a smooth transition and stay connected while prioritizing safety.

The brand will be improving features for existing surveillance cameras such as people counting and heatmaps to determine how many people can be in the same space at once, as well as emphasizing the importance of access control systems as employees navigate their varying schedules, according to the announcement.

Items like smartcards can be used to unlock office doors with facial recognition access for authorized employees to ensure that the right people have access to the information they need to stay connected and safe.

“It is harder to keep track of who is coming and going out of a business and grant access to certain information, both in the office and at home, when everyone has a different schedule,” says Hartman. “We specialize in providing surveillance solutions that will ensure efficiency and safety throughout this transition, so there is a huge opportunity for us to help do exactly that.”

Minnesota AG Calls for Cancellation of Home Security Contracts for Alleged Fraud

STEARNS COUNTY, Minn. — Bring Me the News reports that Minnesota’s Attorney General, Keith Ellison, says he’s gotten consumers in Stearns County out of home security contracts after they were misled by a door-to-door salesman. According to the report, Ellison’s office announced that home security companies Skyline Security Management and Safe Home Security have agreed to their cancel contracts with customers in and around Stearns County who purchased their systems from door-to-door salesman Gary Harvey. “Door-to-door salesmen and their employers are in the business of trust-building,” Ellison said in a statement. “They know they need to have your trust to sell you their products, particularly expensive products like security systems that are supposed to keep your home safe. When that trust is betrayed, it’s emotionally and financially painful.
