PROTECH USA Introduces TDSi Access Control at GSX 2021

SPARKS, Nev. — PROTECH, the North American subsidiary of VITAPROTECH of France, announces the introduction of its group sister company, TDSi of the United Kingdom, into the U.S. access control market at GSX 2021 in Orlando, Fla.

TDSi provides a fully integrated access control and security solution that is said to be both cost effective for customers and drives margin generation for businesses.

The GARDiS hardware and software ecosystem from TDSi will roll out in North America in 2022 delivering a new option in access control solutions. TDSi offers a full range of door controllers, card and credential readers – all driven through the GARDiS web-based access control software platform.

“The features and functionality of GARDiS deliver peace of mind for customers through its intuitive and easy to set-up and install hardware and software,” explains John Davies, managing director of TDSi. “Through reduced installation time and cost per door, we are able to drive profit and productivity improvements for any business.”

Davies adds that the GARDiS software can cover thousands of doors across multiple sites, and with the REST API, integration to leading VMS and PSIM providers is made easy. With the option of also using a web browser-based software embedded on the controllers, users can also protect single sites of up to 44 doors and integrate to wireless handle sets from SimonsVoss and ASSA ABLOY without the need to deploy the on-premise or Cloud-deployable GARDiS software.

“This is yet one more piece in physical security that PROTECH can soon offer its North American customer base to provide an end-to-end solution in perimeter protection,” says Larry Thomas, COO, PROTECH. “We look forward to introducing it with our existing customer base in the coming months and to the market in 2022.”

The software was developed by TIL Technologies, a member of the VITAPROTECH Group of France, of which Protech USA is a member.

Minnesota AG Calls for Cancellation of Home Security Contracts for Alleged Fraud

STEARNS COUNTY, Minn. — Bring Me the News reports that Minnesota’s Attorney General, Keith Ellison, says he’s gotten consumers in Stearns County out of home security contracts after they were misled by a door-to-door salesman. According to the report, Ellison’s office announced that home security companies Skyline Security Management and Safe Home Security have agreed to their cancel contracts with customers in and around Stearns County who purchased their systems from door-to-door salesman Gary Harvey. “Door-to-door salesmen and their employers are in the business of trust-building,” Ellison said in a statement. “They know they need to have your trust to sell you their products, particularly expensive products like security systems that are supposed to keep your home safe. When that trust is betrayed, it’s emotionally and financially painful.
