Vector Security Networks Releases AI-Enabled Cybersecurity as a Service

PITTSBURGH — Vector Security Networks announces a strategic relationship with Barracuda Networks, a provider of Cloud-enabled security solutions, to better secure clients and grow their cybersecurity-as-a-service practice with Barracuda’s Skout Managed XDR.

Vector Security Networks has been delivering managed network services for more than 17 years and helps thousands of businesses streamline, support or augment their IT resources to be successful. This new relationship is said to allow for an expansion of Cloud-native threat detection tools that utilize AI and machine learning.

The enhanced solution is primarily focused on two areas of cybersecurity: ransomware and compliance.

“Many companies are turning to us to provide holistic security and managed services across their businesses — regardless of size,” says David Fisher, division president of Vector Security Networks. “Working with Barracuda, and taking advantage of their Managed XDR offering, will allow us to expand our traditional managed services and physical security solution sets with a cybersecurity offering that is proven and trusted.”

The collaboration follows Barracuda Networks’ purchase of Skout Cybersecurity, a New York-based channel-only provider of extended detection and response (XDR) services, in July.

As a result of the ever-increasing attack surface as businesses shift to the Cloud and embrace hybrid working, 80% of security professionals now say XDR solutions — which automatically collect and correlate data from multiple security layers to improve threat detection — should be a top priority for their organization, and 68% of enterprises plan to implement XDR in 2021 and 2022, according to recent research.

“We’ve been focused on protecting small and medium sized businesses since day one. Every company should be able to get protected from cybercrime,” says Aidan Kehoe, SVP, MSP Managed XDR at Barracuda. “We are looking forward to partnering with Vector Security Networks to protect more businesses and workers from cybercrime.”

Vector Security Networks states the expanded services are a key component of its offerings moving forward and allows for more focus on customer experience with a consolidated managed IT and cybersecurity practice.

Vector Security Networks is a division of Vector Security, a single-source integrator of physical security solutions and managed services.
