DMP Appoints Regional Training Manager for MidSouth/Southeast Region

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — DMP announces authorized dealers across the MidSouth/Southeast region have a new regional training manager. Matthew McDonald will now provide technical training and support throughout that region.

McDonald has worked in the security industry since he earned his Criminal Justice degree from the University of Alabama. Most recently, he was the major accounts liaison for STS Group, an authorized DMP dealer based out of Madison, Ala. Formerly, he also worked in inside sales and was an STS Group technician.

As a new regional training manager for DMP, McDonald will be based out of Athens, Ala., where he has lived the past eight years. In his new role, he will leverage his DMP product expertise to support DMP dealers throughout his territory, which includes Kentucky, Tennessee, Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina and Northwest Florida.

“With his impressive DMP product knowledge, Matthew can ensure that our dealers in his area have the hands-on training they need to effectively and efficiently install, program and service our products and train users how to get the most of their systems,” says Vice President of Training and Development David Peebles.

Minnesota AG Calls for Cancellation of Home Security Contracts for Alleged Fraud

STEARNS COUNTY, Minn. — Bring Me the News reports that Minnesota’s Attorney General, Keith Ellison, says he’s gotten consumers in Stearns County out of home security contracts after they were misled by a door-to-door salesman. According to the report, Ellison’s office announced that home security companies Skyline Security Management and Safe Home Security have agreed to their cancel contracts with customers in and around Stearns County who purchased their systems from door-to-door salesman Gary Harvey. “Door-to-door salesmen and their employers are in the business of trust-building,” Ellison said in a statement. “They know they need to have your trust to sell you their products, particularly expensive products like security systems that are supposed to keep your home safe. When that trust is betrayed, it’s emotionally and financially painful.
